I would like to share the definition of business and the truth about it. It should be crystal clear to us so we know what our objective is. Other definitions of business might mislead us and stray us away from the true objective of business and its important contribution to society. Other definitions will make us greedy and selfish and might leave us wondering in the end, why am I not a millionaire still? Forget about those who does it illegally and gets away with it because I'm sure we are not that type of person here. We are for the improvement of the world and not for the destruction of it.
I will share a friend's blog about the true meaning of business as you might be mislead as I had been before. This blog was written 4 years ago but this will show that truth or principles encompass time and will remain true until the end. Please don't forget this and soon we will get there. :)

1st Mindanao Farm Tour in the Philippines
*July 23, 2008**
Arrival at Gensan from Manila.
1st stop: Yusepeng Farm. We were fetched and we toured at Yusepeng farm. They welcomed us with free taste of their fruits like dragon fruit, macapuno papaya, sweet balimbing, berries, etc. All yummies especially the red dragon fruit. Some bought seedlings worth P35 only: java jackfruit, fig tree, atis, dragon fruit (P25 per cutting, you need 4 for a pole), sweet balimbing, etc. We bought some seeds that will grow fruits in just one year for only P10. These are macapuno papaya, pitanga, atis, and cherry tisa.
2nd stop: Seedworld. They have different seeds for sale from diff. companies. They have a store selling native baskets, hats, etc. made from corn husks. Great handicraft products they are.
3rd stop: Garden Club. Lots of ornamental plants and orchids.
4th stop: Ben Figueroa Farm. Free buffet lunch and dinner with accomodation at the 6-storey house in the middle of the 200 hectare farm. We saw a lot of ornamental plants, big and small ones, big bananas and other fruits. We had the program there, getting to know each other (everyone introduced themselves and how involved they are in farms/planting), speeches from Rex Rivera, Ben Roy, Ben Figueroa, Butch, etc. There was some slides/presentation about the conservation and endangered trees/species we have. Trees were very few now compared to when the Philippines started with vast forestry, plants and trees. This event was attended by more than 60 participants from all over the Philippines with special guests from tourism, government and SMI sponsors. Dinner were served with nice band while eating. The band is ala-Joey Ayala style with ethnic instruments. Very nice :)
**July 24, 2008**
1st stop: Ed Cejar Farm. We had tree Planting at the roadside which is the very purpose of the Plant a Tree Movement (PATM). We wore the free t-shirt and green pin courtesy of the Plant A Tree Movement. We planted 2-4 Pacquiao Trees each. We had breakfast at his farm served in banana leaves. It was a very nice house with good landscaping of plants around. We got some african neem seeds, balimbing cuttings, and red torch plant. Near the farm, we saw the 21 hectares land for sale.
2nd stop: Pacquiao Farm full of fighting cocks. So many.
3rd stop:Roger Rivera Durian Farm. We tasted different varieties of durian. Saw the durian plantation.
4th stop: Tampacan Municipal Hall. They had a few slide show presentation and then free buffet lunch.
5th stop:Mt. Carmel Rural Center. We had a tour guide there and showed us their goats and plants using the Natural Farming system. They have a store there for vegetable seeds and other products they produce like goats milk and goats milk choco. Most of the participants stayed there for the night and they had a small gathering at night, getting to know each other with Dr. Alexis and the participants.
**July 25, 2008**
1st Stop: Herbal Garden. We bought some herbs there. Tasted some herbs like spearmints, stevia (sweet) etc.
2nd stop: Layug's Residence and Lola Marge's Farm. We ate a sumptous buffet lunch with Nandok-mai mango, yummy. Saw the mangosteen seedlings and nandok-mai mangoes for sale.
3rd stop: Andry and Jojie Lim's Farm. We had a bus ride tour courtesy of Andry Lim. Tour with lecture of natural farming system (korean technique) rehabilitating the 30-hectare farm that was destroyed by conventional farming(pesticides, fungicides, chemical fertilizer inputs). Saw the satisfied contented happy sweet pigs with no smell (no baho). Saw the big cacaos, coconut trees, vegetable garden. Unable to see their forest fruit trees due to lack of time and we were very tired for the whole trek is quite big. Had a taste of their pomelos and freshly picked okra with zero chemical (organic). They gave us cacao pod and tricanthera stocks.
4th stop: Layug's plantation of pomelos and durians. Had a taste of their pomelos too.The bus sent the participants to a hotel for their stay overnight. Some went to Ponchit Enrile's restaurant and had a get together there.
** July 26,2008**
Some went to their own trips. I went back to Mintal Nursery and was able to get some cheap pomelo, mangosteen, nandok-mai, ponkan, and longkong for only P...... (secret) hehehe. Others went to crocodile farm. Most of us went back home. Mintour finally ended with more promise. Went from Davao back to Manila.
We missed the Kablon Farm and other nursery and farms but its a good excuse for coming back and see those farms. Truly a rare and fruitful 1st Rare-Fruit Mindanao tour it is. The seeds of the future were planted in our minds now and we will propagate a very bright future. Let us all plant a tree even in our little containers in the backyard for a start if you dont have a farm yet, vegetable container gardening will do for the meantime. :)

The Information Age
Ever wonder why blogs are becoming so popular nowadays? It's because we are in the information age now. What we know can bring us to new heights, discover new things and sometimes earn money because of this. What we know can bring us prosperity/riches. It's just a matter of using them wisely.
In the internet world, if you just know how to surf, navigate around, and research the information you want to know or business you want to get into, you will go places. You can rely on the internet for a lot of information.
There are a lot of blogs now that gives a lot of information on different businesses and comments on things that could save us time, effort, and money if we are just resourceful and patient enough to find them online. There are a lot of search engines around and of course, my favorite is google. You just google it around and you can get somewhere.

More tips for online business
A shortcut version taken from:
http://www.jcmiras.net/jcm/item/18/vAll we need to, is to become creative and resourceful. Going straight forward, what I want to point out is we can use the internet to earn extra money. That is, more and more people today are taking this opportunity to earn extra money or even not only extra but a great source of income. The steps are so simple, just establish a website. But, establishing a website is not that hard as we first think. Using your resourcefulness, you can learn how to build a website in just one day using tutorials in the internet. After establishing a website, make it popular. Then, you can now start earning money in your online business. How?
Here are the examples,
1. By joining affiliate programs like ebay, amazon.com, filiateSeeking.com, and more. You can refer to their website for you to learn more.
2. By joining contextual ad placement. This is now the trend in the internet to earn a lot of money. All you need to do is sign up your website. Then, they will review it. If they approve it, your now into the business and start earning money. Examples of this program are google adsense, fast click.com, all feeds.com and many more.
These two are just two most popular money making businesses in the internet. And you can find and learn more if you want.

Stormpay fiasco
The autosurf industry has been closing down because of the stormpay fiasco, so dont trust it as a payment gateway if you plan to join an autosurf site or manual surf site.

Updated recommended autosurfs/paid to surf sites as of April 2006
These are the links for my autosurf/paid to surf sites if you want to try any of them, this is listed according to reliability. All the ones listed down send traffic in this blog site of mine and the proof can be seen by my counter below. Now in terms of earning online, the ones that can give you money without putting any cash are studiotraffic and epayhits only, the rest will need you to upgrade (put in some money) to earn from them and I'm eyeing on vivasurf and numberonesurf in the future in terms of investing/upgrading in it. These are the only two sites that shows promise and higher return than all the others I compared. I have deleted 2 websites from my list here and hopefully there will be no more autosurf sites that will close down from my list :) Studiotraffic had been around for years but I its struggling now so I wont recommend it for now. I think I will have to wait for a month more to see which ones will close or not, it's not good to invest in any as things are shaky in the autosurf/paid to surf world for now. It wont hurt to try some or join some as early as now to earn without putting any money for now and if after a month things are okay, you can join and just by that time you can cash out the money you earned while you were still testing it out.

http://www.cashdelight.com/pages/index.php?refid=piamegManual surfing compared to autosurf has good promise for quality traffic to your site but it will just be quite tedious. Blog explosion is okay in driving traffic to your blogs and the sites they show there are good but its quite tedious too as they are into manual surfing too. Anyway, manual surfing at least promises sure quality visitors that will look at your site more than just autosurfing where you just let your internet surf by itself without looking at it.

You might ask me why I havent said anything yet about autosurfs, they do give me traffic yes but somehow in terms of getting revenues from it through the ads/affiliates they can click in my blog...turned out not so good. I guess its not really that beneficial after all. In terms of earnings, I'm still trying out the ones I've joined that are like 20 all in all but almost half now of those are closed so lets give it another month before I recommend anything from the autosurfs I joined.
BlogParty is a new network of sites that help leverage your blog, but they need help getting the message out there. How about some motivation? How about the chance to win $250 for writting an entry in your blog about BlogParty with a link back to http://www.blogparty.net
BlogCharm is coming up with paying one to blog soon!
Explosion blog is ok with blog exchanges...kind of like autosurf but this time its manual surf to get credits and your blog to be visited as well.
RSS feeds and podcasts and many new affilation sites coming up which adds more to the google ads and amazon list of my affiliates.
As I read blog everyday, I discover more and more stuff..truly blogging is evolving very fast now.

Latest Technology, blogs are part of it
Web2 is happening right now and blogs are part of it. You can sell using blogs without having to know any programming language, just post and thats it you can sell. You can also earn by using google bars and google adsense. If people click on one of your google ads or search on the google bar in your page, you will earn and google will send you a check once you reach $100 in earnings right to your doorstep. Cool isn't it?
Home transcription jobs and i've heard home call center jobs are going around too.
I have just attended an ecommerce seminar yesterday and comments about it and the gists of all the talks about the latest technologies going around can be found in my friend's website at
http://www.jozzua.com/serendipity/index.php?/archives/31-Whats-the-latest-on-eCommerce-in-the-Philippines.html#extended
You can visit that if you want to know more. Meanwhile I have this http://becharmed.fil.ph where I plan to sell books because I am an affiliate now of amazon.com so any books you will buy there, amazon will send me commission too for it. I have posted some Narnia books there and a free MTV video there you can view if you play it. I placed the google ads and google search bar at that site as well hoping it could make me earn something at least. I also have http://piameg.fil.ph with all the ads around it. I have this http://piameg.blogspot.com that will serve as an information for everybody who wants to have some income from the web.
Then there are autosurf/pay to surf sites I recently joined and will post all about it at my next entry. All you wanted to know about these and how you can earn, what can be trusted and all.

first day in Singapore
I went to Singapore last October 24-30. The 'fine city' is very great and very progressive. Its like seeing the future of the Philippines, I hope. They are very disciplined. The city is clean and so is the water. People are quite busy with their work but generally professional in theif dealings. First day was great. It was my first time to travel abroad and Im proud its singapore because its the lion of Asia. :) Hope someday our country the Philippines will be this progressive and disciplined too in the near future. Less pollution and all. For pics and details of my whole 7 day singapore trip, pls visit :

reviewing and heartwarming story
I'm reviewing for my upcoming board exam this October 29, 2005. Pray
for me so that I'll pass. I'll be going to Singapore this October 24-30
for it. I dont have money and will be relying on credit cards for all
the payment. Fortunately, had some friend who is wiling to help me out
with accomodation. Bless her so and am so grateful for God for giving
me such wonderful people to my rescue. Have stopped working to give way
for my review. Have paid a lot of prerequirements for this. I'll be
staying in Singapore for a week. Been panicking for the review because
the exam date is very near. Amidst the panic and sometimes giving to
temptations to watch my DVDs of Friends tv series to take out the pressure of studying and reviewing, there was a good diversion and its a good story for today.
Heartwarming and Heartfelt day
Today was a very heartwarming day for me. I was not the one involved in
an incident today and I was just a mere observer. We had a family
reunion. It was just supposed to be a bday party of my aunt but it
turned out to be a family reunion.
History or background
My uncle who is in Taiwan had been for months been not contacting his
father/mother or his sister (my mother) so they had been very worried
about him. Last news we had is he had some problems with liver and
would need surgery. My mom and her brothers wanted to go to Taiwan to
search for him because he had been missing. They tried to contact
through phone and email but to no avail. They were very worried that
he might be dead or something. Just a month ago, he contacted my
mother and with a good news that he is quite ok and did not go with the
operation and will be coming over to the Philippines to visit us. He
came over and then planned a surprise for his exwife's bday party.
Today, Oct. 15, 2005
At my aunts' bday party, we had some sort of a family reunion. My uncle
surprised my aunt (her exwife) at her bday party to think that they
have not been seeing each other for 20 years with their 2 children. It
was a heartwarming moment seeing the family got together again as my
aunts tried to close my aunts' eyes for the surprise. Their children
cried and so were my aunt and hugged my uncle. It was so heartwarming.
We had dinner, had a few laughs, eat the wonderful food. We had some
videoke and my uncle sang and he really has a good voice because that's
his work its like listening to a good music in a bar. I cant help but
observe my aunt and see her cry. She hides it but i do notice. It was
very heartwarming. We had to leave early but it was nice being there
and seeing people who have not been seeing each other even if they have
their own separate lives. My uncle has his own family in Taiwan. It
was all good because there was no bickering whatsoever and it was fun.
Had good talk with my other aunts and stuff. It was the best. :)
