first day in Singapore

I went to Singapore last October 24-30. The 'fine city' is very great and very progressive. Its like seeing the future of the Philippines, I hope. They are very disciplined. The city is clean and so is the water. People are quite busy with their work but generally professional in theif dealings. First day was great. It was my first time to travel abroad and Im proud its singapore because its the lion of Asia. :) Hope someday our country the Philippines will be this progressive and disciplined too in the near future. Less pollution and all. For pics and details of my whole 7 day singapore trip, pls visit : http://www.travelpost.com/AS/Singapore/Other/Singapore/visit/1863226/30526

reviewing and heartwarming story

I'm reviewing for my upcoming board exam this October 29, 2005. Pray
for me so that I'll pass. I'll be going to Singapore this October 24-30
for it. I dont have money and will be relying on credit cards for all
the payment. Fortunately, had some friend who is wiling to help me out
with accomodation. Bless her so and am so grateful for God for giving
me such wonderful people to my rescue. Have stopped working to give way
for my review. Have paid a lot of prerequirements for this. I'll be
staying in Singapore for a week. Been panicking for the review because
the exam date is very near. Amidst the panic and sometimes giving to
temptations to watch my DVDs of Friends tv series to take out the pressure of studying and reviewing, there was a good diversion and its a good story for today.

Heartwarming and Heartfelt day
Today was a very heartwarming day for me. I was not the one involved in
an incident today and I was just a mere observer. We had a family
reunion. It was just supposed to be a bday party of my aunt but it
turned out to be a family reunion.

History or background
My uncle who is in Taiwan had been for months been not contacting his
father/mother or his sister (my mother) so they had been very worried
about him. Last news we had is he had some problems with liver and
would need surgery. My mom and her brothers wanted to go to Taiwan to
search for him because he had been missing. They tried to contact
through phone and email but to no avail. They were very worried that
he might be dead or something. Just a month ago, he contacted my
mother and with a good news that he is quite ok and did not go with the
operation and will be coming over to the Philippines to visit us. He
came over and then planned a surprise for his exwife's bday party.

Today, Oct. 15, 2005
At my aunts' bday party, we had some sort of a family reunion. My uncle
surprised my aunt (her exwife) at her bday party to think that they
have not been seeing each other for 20 years with their 2 children. It
was a heartwarming moment seeing the family got together again as my
aunts tried to close my aunts' eyes for the surprise. Their children
cried and so were my aunt and hugged my uncle. It was so heartwarming.
We had dinner, had a few laughs, eat the wonderful food. We had some
videoke and my uncle sang and he really has a good voice because that's
his work its like listening to a good music in a bar. I cant help but
observe my aunt and see her cry. She hides it but i do notice. It was
very heartwarming. We had to leave early but it was nice being there
and seeing people who have not been seeing each other even if they have
their own separate lives. My uncle has his own family in Taiwan. It
was all good because there was no bickering whatsoever and it was fun.
Had good talk with my other aunts and stuff. It was the best. :)
